What Time Do You Get on the Court? Any Time Will Do!
One of the best things about tennis is that it can fit into your day in so many different ways. You don’t need an entire afternoon. You don’t need to wait for the weekend. And you certainly don’t need to play for hours to make your time on the court worthwhile!
Sometimes, all you need is a little time, a racket, and a court.
At Four Lakes Athletic Club, our indoor courts make it easier to find a time that works for your schedule - whether you're an early-morning player, a lunchtime hitter, an after-work competitor or someone who likes to squeeze in a few games before calling it a night.
Start Your Day on the Court
For early birds, the morning can be a great time to get moving.
A morning tennis session gets your body moving, challenges your coordination and gives you an active start to the day. Even a short hit can help you feel energized and ready to tackle whatever comes next.
You don't have to play a full match. Grab a partner, warm up, rally for a while and make the most of the time you have.
Morning schedule packed? That's okay. There are plenty of other hours in the day.
Make Your Lunch Break a Little More Active
Who says a lunch break has to mean sitting at your desk?
If you have a little flexibility in your schedule, use part of your break to get on the court. A quick tennis session can be a fun way to step away from work, move your body and come back to the rest of your day feeling refreshed.
Even 30–45 minutes can be enough to get your heart rate up, work on your strokes and enjoy some friendly competition.
Think of it as your midday reset.
Get Out on the Court After Work
For many players, after work is prime tennis time.
Instead of heading straight home, meet a friend at FLAC and get a little court time in. Play a few games, work on your serve or challenge your regular doubles partner.
It's a great way to transition from work mode to something active, social, and fun.
And let's be honest - a little friendly competition can be a pretty good way to end the workday!
Make Tennis Part of Your Evening
An evening court session can be the perfect way to unwind. Whether you're playing a competitive match, working on your game or simply rallying with a friend, tennis gives you a reason to move, connect, and have fun.
You may walk onto the court thinking you're only going to play for a little while - and walk off wishing you had another hour.
That's a good problem to have!
You Don't Need Hours to Benefit From Court Time
One of the biggest mistakes people make with exercise is thinking it only counts if they have a large block of time.
Don't have two hours? Play for 30 minutes.
Can't fit in a full match? Rally.
Don't have time for a long practice? Work on one skill.
Have 15 minutes? Get moving.
Consistency matters. Making tennis a regular part of your routine can help you continue developing your skills while giving you another opportunity to be active throughout the week.
A little court time is still court time.
Find Your Favorite Time to Play
Maybe you're a 6:00 a.m. player.
Maybe you're a lunchtime regular.
Maybe your favorite time is right after work.
Or maybe you're the person who checks the schedule and thinks, I can squeeze in a court tonight.
There isn't one right answer.
The best time to play is the time that fits your life - and having indoor courts means you can keep playing when Wisconsin weather doesn't cooperate.
So grab your racket, find a partner, and make some time for the court!
Morning. Afternoon. Evening.
What time do you get on the court? Any time will do!
