Junior Matchplay at Four Lakes Athletic Club: Grow As A Competitor

Developing a strong tennis player takes more than practice drills and lessons. It takes experience, confidence, strategy, and the ability to compete. At Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, our Junior Matchplay programs give young tennis players the opportunity to put their skills into action, sharpen their game, and grow as competitors.

Whether your junior player is just beginning to explore competitive tennis or preparing for tournament-level play, FLAC Junior Matchplay provides a supportive environment to learn, improve, and gain valuable match experience.

More Than Practice: Building Better Tennis Players

Junior Matchplay is designed to help players bridge the gap between tennis instruction and real match competition. Players have the opportunity to apply what they have learned in lessons and drills while developing the skills that make a difference on the court.

Through organized matchplay, junior tennis players can:

  • Build Match Confidence: Become more comfortable competing, handling pressure, and playing with confidence.

  • Develop Tennis Strategy: Learn shot selection, court positioning, consistency, and how to adjust to different opponents.

  • Improve Match Skills: Practice scoring, serving, returning, point construction, and match management.

  • Strengthen Sportsmanship: Learn to compete with respect, demonstrate good sportsmanship, and handle both wins and losses.

  • Connect With Other Players: Build friendships, meet fellow junior tennis players, and develop a stronger connection to the FLAC tennis community.

Every match is an opportunity to learn something new, recognize progress, and become a more well-rounded player.
