Young athletes, grab your racquets! The courts are calling. This Saturday, October 24, 2026, Four Lakes Athletic Club in Elkhorn, Wisconsin, welcomes junior tennis players for the USTA Junior Circuit: FLAC October Green & Orange Classic - a day dedicated to competition, skill development, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
Whether your young athlete is building confidence on the court or gaining valuable experience in competitive tennis, junior tournaments offer an exciting opportunity to put practice into action and discover just how much they can accomplish.
A Saturday of Junior Tennis at FLAC
The FLAC October Green and Orange Classic brings junior tennis competition to our six indoor tennis courts, giving young players the opportunity to compete regardless of Wisconsin’s unpredictable fall weather.
As part of the USTA Junior Circuit, this event features Orange and Green Ball competition for developing players. These stages of the junior tennis pathway help athletes build their skills, learn match-play strategies, and gain experience competing in a supportive environment.
At Four Lakes Athletic Club, we believe developing a strong tennis player means more than perfecting a serve or hitting a winning shot. It means learning to compete with confidence, handle challenges, respect opponents, and grow through every match.
Why Junior Tennis Tournaments Matter
Practice is essential, but match play brings a whole new dimension to a young athlete’s development. Junior tennis tournaments allow players to put their training to the test, make decisions under pressure, and learn how to adjust their game in real time.
Every match offers an opportunity to grow. Players learn how to manage nerves, recover from mistakes, celebrate progress, and demonstrate good sportsmanship - skills that extend well beyond the tennis court.
For parents, tournaments are also a chance to see that development firsthand. Progress isn't measured only by wins and losses. It's found in a more confident serve, a smarter shot selection, a determined comeback, or the courage to compete against a new opponent.
Every point is a learning opportunity. Every match is a chance to improve.
Building the Next Generation of Tennis Players in Southeastern Wisconsin
At FLAC, we're proud to support junior tennis players throughout Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, and the greater Southeastern Wisconsin area. Our junior tennis programs provide opportunities for young athletes to develop their game through age-appropriate training, consistent practice, and competitive experiences.
From the early stages of the Orange and Green Ball pathway to more advanced junior competition, our goal is to help players build a strong foundation, develop a lifelong love of tennis, and find their place in the tennis community.
USTA Junior Tournaments are an important part of that journey. They give players a chance to challenge themselves, connect with other young athletes, and put the lessons learned in practice into action.
And to every player stepping onto the court this Saturday: compete hard, encourage one another, respect your opponents, and remember that improvement is always worth celebrating.
