FLAC Proud: Celebrating Elizabeth Atkinson’s Undefeated Tennis Championship
At Four Lakes Athletic Club, we believe great athletes are built through more than practice alone. They’re built through consistency, confidence, strength, determination, and a community that supports them every step of the way.
That’s why we’re incredibly proud to celebrate FLAC member Elizabeth Atkinson, who recently went undefeated on her way to winning the Division 1 Special Olympics Tennis Championship.
Elizabeth finished her competition with an incredible 6-0, 6-4, 6-0 record, showcasing the focus, determination, and heart that make her such an inspiring athlete.
Behind Every Great Performance Is Great Preparation
Elizabeth’s championship performance is a reminder that success on the tennis court starts long before match day.
In addition to working on her tennis game, Elizabeth trains through personal training at FLAC with Rachel, building strength, fitness, coordination, and confidence that she can carry onto the court.
That combination of sport-specific practice and overall physical training can be an important part of an athlete’s development. Tennis requires much more than a good swing - players need footwork, balance, agility, endurance, strength, and the ability to stay focused throughout a match.
Working with a personal trainer can help athletes develop those physical tools while creating a training routine tailored to their individual goals and abilities.
For Elizabeth, that preparation helped contribute to an incredible championship run.
Fitness That Supports Your Goals
Elizabeth’s story is also a great example of how personal training at Four Lakes Athletic Club can complement the activities and sports you already love.
Whether your goal is to become a stronger tennis player, improve your athletic performance, get ready for a new sport, or simply feel stronger and more confident in everyday life, personal training can provide individualized guidance and accountability.
At FLAC, our trainers work with members at a variety of fitness levels and with a wide range of goals. Training isn’t about fitting everyone into the same workout - it’s about creating a plan that works for the individual.
Elizabeth’s journey is a perfect example of that approach in action.
More Than a Championship
Of course, Elizabeth’s accomplishment is about much more than the numbers on the scoreboard.
Her undefeated run represents the result of showing up, putting in the work, challenging herself, and continuing to grow as an athlete.
That’s something we love seeing at FLAC.
From our tennis courts to our fitness floor, we’re proud to provide a community where members can pursue their goals, discover new strengths, and celebrate their victories along the way.
Congratulations, Elizabeth!
