Looking for That? Let's Keep the Fitness Floor in Shape!

A Place for Everything, and Everything in Its Place at FLAC!

Ever find yourself searching for a specific kettlebell, foam roller, or medicine ball, only to discover it's been left across the fitness floor or tucked away in the studio?

You're not alone! With so many members working toward their fitness goals at Four Lakes Athletic Club, our equipment gets plenty of use throughout the day. And while we love seeing our members put it to work, we need everyone's help making sure it finds its way back home!

Every Piece of Equipment Has a Home!

Whether you're strength training, stretching, improving your balance, or wrapping up a group fitness class, please return all equipment to its designated storage area when you're finished.

This includes:

  • Kettlebells & Dumbbells: Return weights to their appropriate racks.

  • Medicine Balls: Place them back in their designated storage areas.

  • BOSU Balance Trainers: Return them to their proper storage locations.

  • Foam Rollers: Put them back where they belong after stretching or recovery.

  • Yoga Mats & Blocks: Return them neatly to their designated areas.

  • Other Fitness Accessories: Bands, steps, and other workout tools should always be returned to their proper spots.

If you moved it, please put it back!

The Fitness Floor Isn't a Storage Area!

We understand that workouts can get intense, and sometimes you're moving quickly from one exercise to the next. But leaving equipment scattered across the fitness floor, tucked behind machines, or abandoned in the studio creates unnecessary clutter.

Taking a few extra seconds to put equipment away makes a big difference!

Here's why it matters:

1. Everyone Can Find What They Need

When equipment is returned to its designated area, the next member can spend less time searching and more time working out.

2. A Safer Workout Environment

Loose weights, mats, and other equipment left on the floor can create tripping hazards and obstruct walkways.

3. A Cleaner, More Organized Club

An organized fitness floor makes for a more welcoming, functional, and enjoyable workout environment.

4. Respect for Your Fellow Members

Sharing equipment means sharing responsibility. Returning what you've used is a simple courtesy that helps everyone have a better experience.

Don't Forget the Studio!

Our fitness studio is a shared space used for group fitness classes, stretching, and individual workouts.

If you borrow equipment from the studio or bring equipment into it, please return it to its original designated storage area when you're finished.

Likewise, equipment used on the fitness floor should not be left behind in the studio.

Keeping this space organized helps our instructors prepare for classes and ensures members have access to the equipment they need.

Strong Habits Go Beyond Your Workout!

At FLAC, we believe a great fitness community is built on more than reps, sets, and personal records. It's built on consideration, respect, and shared responsibility.

So the next time you finish your workout, take a quick look around:

Did you rerack your weights? Return your accessories? Clear your workout space?

Those few extra seconds make a difference for the next person.

And if you're ever unsure where something belongs, just ask a member of our FLAC team. We're happy to help!

Let's Keep FLAC Fit, Safe, & Organized!

Train hard. Respect the space. Put it back in its place.

Thank you to all our members for doing their part to keep Four Lakes Athletic Club a welcoming, organized, and enjoyable place to work out.
