Building stronger athletes, confident competitors, and lifelong skills starts with the next rep.
Success in sports is about more than the final score. It’s about the hours of practice, the commitment to improvement, the discipline to keep going, and the ability to balance competing priorities along the way.
At Four Lakes Athletic Club, we’re proud to celebrate our junior tennis members who competed in the 2026 WIAA Individual Girls State Tennis Championships at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison this past weekend. Reaching the state level is an incredible accomplishment, and these athletes deserve recognition for the hard work and dedication that helped them get there.

We’re excited to recognize the following athletes for competing at the 2026 WIAA Individual Girls State Tennis Championships:
Andjela Bogovac
Caylee Brantman

Competing at the state championships is a milestone that reflects more than talent. It takes consistent training, resilience, preparation, and a willingness to learn from every match.
We’re proud to see these athletes representing their schools and club on one of Wisconsin high school tennis’s biggest stages. Congratulations to each player on an outstanding season!
More Than a Game: The Benefits of Being a Student-Athlete
Being a student-athlete means learning to show up even when life gets busy. Between classes, homework, practices, matches, and personal commitments, young athletes develop skills that can benefit them long after their playing days are over.
Discipline and time management: Balancing academics and athletics requires planning, consistency, and accountability. Student-athletes learn to prioritize responsibilities and make the most of their time.
Resilience and mental toughness: Not every match goes according to plan, and not every academic challenge comes easily. Learning to work through setbacks helps young people develop confidence and persistence.
Goal setting and personal growth: Athletes learn to set measurable goals, track their progress, and recognize that meaningful improvement happens through consistent effort.
Teamwork and leadership: Even in an individual sport like tennis, athletes benefit from teammates, coaches, training partners, and a supportive community. They learn communication, sportsmanship, and how to encourage others.
Healthy habits for life: Regular physical activity helps young people build strength, coordination, endurance, and an appreciation for staying active.
These lessons extend well beyond the tennis court. They help young people develop the confidence and habits needed to navigate school, relationships, future careers, and life's challenges.
Build a Foundation with FLAC Junior Tennis
Interested in junior tennis lessons near Elkhorn, Lake Geneva, or throughout Southeastern Wisconsin? Four Lakes Athletic Club offers a junior tennis pathway designed to help young players learn the game, develop their skills, and progress toward competitive tennis.
Our junior tennis programs serve players ages 3–18, providing age- and skill-appropriate opportunities to grow from beginner fundamentals to more advanced match play. As players advance, coaching, practice, and appropriate tournament participation can work together to help them reach their goals. Whether your child is learning to rally for the first time, preparing for school tennis, or looking to become a more experienced competitor, a strong development pathway can make a meaningful difference.
And the benefits aren't limited to tennis. Junior athletes also gain opportunities to build confidence, establish healthy routines, learn accountability, and connect with other young people who share their interests.
At FLAC, we want young players to develop a love for the game while gaining the skills and confidence to pursue their potential.
